This is one of the three
fabulous insect displays. The first one was huge. I love beetles,
they're my favourite insects. The biggest one here (Bottom- fourth
from the left) is about 11 cms long. They're really fascinating.

This is the 'huge' insects display it had
every type of insect there. It was about 2 by 1.5 metres big. This
is a small selection of the whole insect collection. They had an Alice
In Wonderland section. It showed all the animals that were in Alice
In Wonderland e.g. Dodo, Walrus, Oysters and lots more. |

This is the Camera in Oxford.
It is used as part of the Bodelein Library. We wern't aloud to go
inside because it was only for people who were working in one of the
Universities in Oxford. It looks very nice. We took the picture from
the Cethedral tower. |

These are some truly beautiful
towers. The one on the left is just a close up of the one on the right.
I seem to amazingly remember that htese were the law courts or somehting
else to do with law. The more I look at the pictures of Oxford similar
to this one I just feel more and more that Oxford is the prettiest
place in the world. |

This is a big stained glass
window in the Cethedral. We learned here that defeniton of a city
is a town that has a Cethedral. Oxford tower was the third biggest
tower we visited. Durham was the biggest, York was the second tallest
but we didn't go up because there was such a queue. |
I took this picture for
the Gargoyels. There are two men with daggers on the drainpipe, two
eagles, two lion heads and two angels. It is a student residence building.
We didn't stay in one of them here, but we stayed in a Youth Hostel.
It was very nice. We lost a day in Oxford because the person we hired
the car from didn't have the car on time. |
