(Above and Below): Chimnies seemed to be a big thing in Edinburgh. There are tons of them. These pictures were taken from the Camera Obscura. The top right is a closer version of the bottom right. It still deludes me why they need so many chimnies in their house. Thier also apears to be a small tower on the bottom left picture that isn't really used for anything. Sometimes I wish I had a house like this.

This is statue of Greyfriars Bobby. He was a little dog that stayed by his Master all the time, so in fact he stayed by him even when he died. So the dog waited by his Masters Grave for fourteen years(until he died). The people thought that this was so good that they made a statue to commemorate him.
This is Edinburgh Castle. It isn't very clear because the light was funny. There was lots of people there. There were sometimes when we couldn't even move for the people. But it was really fun inside. We saw the cannon they fire every day at one o'clock every day so the ships knew the time so they knew what position the tide would be.
Mons Meg is a huge cannon that is about . In case you're wondering, it is not the cannon they fire at one o'clock every day. It used to be a battle cannon. It was last fired at a ceremony, but the barrel burst as you can see just to the left of my head.
This street goes from Grass Market to the Royal Mile. It had a Brushmaker, a Cheesemaker, and a Baker. At the Brushmakers we saw all these chimney sweep brushes and a person puting bristles in a brush by hand. At the Cheesemakers we saw all these barrels and huge round blocks of really old cheese. There were all these cheese stocks hanging up. At the bakers there was lots of ...well, bread. It was really cool.
What you don't get here in Australia is all these little 'off-lanes' or closes. They're basicaly small shortcuts to the next street. In Durham there were millions of them leading down to the River Wair. A lot of them have doors all along the sides into each of the shops. But as you can see, some people misuse them and use them as slopes for bycicles and skateboards so this close has two boulards on it.
