Melaka II

There were just so many good pictures from Melaka that I had to make Melaka II, so have a look at it as well. Melaka II has got tons of pictures.

Near one of the dutch forts that they have in Malacca there was this little cart thet would have originally been pulled by a horse. They have made it into a small shelter which I think deserved a picture and subtitle in here.
Althouhg this does look very drab and boring it is one of the hang brothers graves and it's very special the five of them were buried around different places in Malacca and I think we saw two of them.
This was actually on the way back from Malacca and we were just moving into the Negri Sembilan area and the houses were mixtures of the two styles of roof.
This, I thought, was amazing because I had never actually seen a blacksmith working in the trade for real. I still do not know what they were making but the only reason we stopped watching was because it was about to rain. They laid the peice of red hot metal on the anvil and took turns at hitting it with a big hammer. You could see the huge furnace and the billows and everything that a blacksmith has.
This is the wonderful tinsmith where we saw people hammering at metal sheet making all sorts of things like pots and watering cans. It was interesting watching these raw materials being processed because on Australia it's all done by machines in big factories.
These are the Becahs or trishaws (rickshaw). One very kind driver let us have seat on his and mmmy took a picture of us in it. It must be really boring togive people rides all over the town all day, day after day but thats how some people arn their money. Sometimes you would come across a becah park and you could view the most beautiful bycicles ever. some even had umbrellas and drink holders!
This I thought is most red and gold I have ever seen in my life. There were firecrackers, lanturns, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous tasselly things. The reason for all of these celebratory things is because it was coming up to Chinese New Year and they were stocking up on all the things that they would need for the big celebration.
This is the biggest and most amazing door latch and it was in a shop of all these old bits of furniture and such. I can't get why they have all of those little holder things and big horns every where though.
